The Blue Dahlia, led by Dahlia Dumont, is a NYC and Paris-based project.
It can be a smaller, acoustic formation, with ukulele, Mexican button accordion, trombone, and upright bass, all the way up to a dectet, with klezmer violin, classical cello, folkloric percussion, punk-reggae-style guitar and more. It has been described as having an organic sound with an electric energy.

In any formation and in any city, though the music takes on different colors and energies and showcases different cultural musical styles, the music is more or less this: a mix of world grooves, such as reggae, tango, ska, swing and waltz with French chanson, klezmer and more. It is a melting pot born and raised in Brooklyn, after years of collaborating musicians from Latin America and Eastern Europe, France and Senegal.
